Is equipment provided?
Yes, for all packages, we provide boards and wetsuits fitted to your level (except for the surf guide which is optional). We have a wide range of good quality equipment.

What will I need during my stay?
Clothes and sportswear for the length of your stay. You will also need a sleeping bag, bath and beach towels. We strongly recommend a hat and sun block cream.

Who is in charge of surf lessons?
You will be trained by fully qualified instructors and lifeguards in groups of 8 people maximum. (see "our team")

How many lessons are there per day?
The number of lessons depends on the package. (see "package")

What if I'm a beginner?
Our school proposes complete starter as well as intermediate or advanced surf and bodyboard sessions. The range of beaches in the area means that there is always a suitable location close by for all categories of surfers.

How old do you have to be to start surfing?
You can start surfing as early as 7 years old and there is no age limit for surfing. The only condition is to be able to swim. For the surf and accommodation packages, you must be over 14.

Can I start surfing as an adult?
Of course you can! We have a wide range of adapted equipment. For the rest, it's a matter of fitness and practise.

Do I need insurance?
You must take out a civil liability insurance against the risks of surf practising. You must also be able to swim 25 metres and have no health contraindication.

Is Surftraining open all year round?
From April to November.

What happens between the lessons during a week session?
For teenagers under 18, free time is supervised by a team of qualified activity leaders. Spare time is dedicated to a well-deserved rest or to different activities such as beach volley, bowling, shopping, swimming or lazing on the beach.
Activities also vary according to surfing events scheduled by the city of Biarritz (competitions, screenings.). Same for evenings: they are always organized and supervised by activity leaders and depend on what participants want to do.

What time are lessons scheduled?
It depends on the quality of the waves, the tide and swells conditions. The best waves are at mid-flood tide.

Are there special rates for groups?
Yes, we can get you a rate tailored to your needs. Please contact us.
